I decided to create some social media sharing content, so I appropriated this iconic graffiti and repurposed it to promote The Will to Be Ruled essay.

I intend to find some pull quotes I like and continue drafting promotional material. As these are essays, I derive no income from them. I only wish to spread the word and get comments on them – supportive or detracting; it doesn’t matter.
I’d rather see it the other way around: loyalty becomes freedom; spectacle becomes truth…
Does it take courage to follow the biocidal, ecocidal order? It’s akin to kamikaze, or sheep.

I take your point – the inversion works both ways, which is precisely why it’s so insidious. The slogans metabolise one another until direction itself collapses: loyalty masquerades as freedom, and freedom as loyalty. The mechanism doesn’t care which way the current flows, only that people keep marching in rhythm. In that sense, obedience and rebellion are just two performance modes within the same choreography.
